Scott Thomas is a public servant that has served his community in many capacities prior to re-locating to Clearwater, Florida. He is a graduate of the Clearwater 101 Citizens Academy and is active within the Clearwater Young Professionals.
At the age of 19, he was the youngest member ever to be elected to the Pottsville Area School Board. During his second term on the School Board, Scott voted against unbalanced budgets and reckless spending. Known for his willingness to defend the taxpayers, Scott was elected by his peers as Vice President. Aside from his service on the school board, Scott has served on the local library board of trustees and as the Vice Chairman of the county Zoning & Hearing Board.
Prior to attending services at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clearwater, Scott was devoted to his hometown church, Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served in numerous roles, including President of Church Council.
Scott believes public service begins with public trust and working with constituents to create a better community. These guiding principles have always been paramount to creating better lives for all.
Scott currently serves as the Senior Human Resources Director for HCR ManorCare in Dunedin.
